American Airlines and Jet Blue teamed in 2020 to form Northeast Alliance. This partnership allows both airlines to feed passengers onto each other’s flights. Together, the airlines have Introduced More Than 30 New Routes and share their codes on 80 existing routes.

AAdvantage and True Blue members can already accrue miles while travelling with the partner airline. Earlier this year, the airlines also introduced reciprocal elite benefits, allowing AAdvantage elite members and True Blue Mosaic elite members to enjoy some of their elite privileges while travelling with the partner airline.

From today, AAdvantage members will be able to redeem their miles for Jet Blue flights. To book a Jet Blue flight using miles, members will have to call AA customer service on +1 800 433 7300.

Redeeming American miles for a JetBlue flight is only possible if the “P” fare class is available in economy and the “I” fare class for mint. Members can redeem miles on all Jet Blue flights except the new JFK to London Gatwick service as it is not a part of the Northeast Alliance. AAdvantage members can also redeem miles on routes that include both Jet Blue and American Airlines flights.

The redemption rates for Jet Blue award tickets (one way) are as follows;

JetBlue has not released a date for when True Blue members will be able to use their miles to book American Airlines tickets yet, but they did mention that members will be able to do so in the future.
